Default NS front wheel or bearing squealing when wet!!??

It may sound odd but I have a sqeal that only exists when its wet. It is present when turning either direction at any speed.

It sounds like the sqeal you get from brakes, although sort of on and off as the wheel turns.

I have checked for play in the bearing and there seems to be none and the brakes seem to be ok as well.

But why does it only do it in the wet?

Could it be a wheel bearing seal that is letting in water?

I have no idea at the moment, although I will probably replace both front wheel bearings just to be on the safe side.

Wayne.

When my front wheel bearing went it made a similar noise, although the wet thing made no difference. There was also no play in it. The thing that happened to me though was the hub was also knackered and that cost me £180. So don't leave it too long.
