Dawes Group Buy Is Back On!!!
#1
I would like to offer my services to take over the Group Buy.
I am currently working to bring the Dawes devices into the UK on a regular basis, and this would prove to be the perfect start.
I am a commercial outfit but I assure you that I will be aranging the group buy on the same basis as the other guys that dropped out as 'ringleader'.
Everybody who is still interested, please email me at:
jamie@performanceexhausts.net

I suggested Jamie did this after checking with the ringleader and Simon it was OK because he is commercial - I would go for it through him, and it would seem ideal if someone in the UK stocked them to save a load of hassle.

Yes thank you John
I am currently waiting to hear from Darren Dawes when I have I will email everyone involved with all the details, including specs available, prices and methods of payments.
I aim to have the group buy complete by next Friday, from then on i will be supplying the devices through my website.
Hope this is ok and I look forward to hearing from everyone!

1.5-2mm.
P1 - yes and no. Fuelling issues - I would either monitor to the hilt on a P1 - I mean boost, AFR, Knock, and I personally would also want EGT and charge temp on a TMIC big turbo at high boost, or better still a proper remap.
Works well on an Evo 7 though "371" bhp with exhaust and Dawes

You might make Jamie's life a bit easier if you standardise your emails as he will no doubt be getting rather a lot!
Suggest:
Dawes - original Super Duty Boost controller QUANTITY _______
Dawes - original Super Duty Boost controller deluxe QUANTITY ______
Dawes - Super Duty Boost controller race version QUANTITY ________
Dawes - Super Duty Boost controller race version deluxe QUANTITY ________
Bleed hole required - normal or 1.5mm ________
Air fuel ratio meter set for Scooby QUANTITY:________
http://www.dawesdevices.com
see here before asking questions.
The deluxe has extra hose and a T-piece and straight piece.
Race version is lighter components - don't bother on a Scooby IMHO.
Bleed hole recommended for MY98 onwards UK/Euro spec otherwise go for normal.
I recommend you all get AFR meter if you don't have a LambdaLink or DIY version of my circuit.
You MUST have a boost gauge.
Please do not fit this to STis or P1s unless you really know what you are doing.
I always recommend a run on a Select Monitor to check fuelling/ignition advance etc.

Great advice John, thank you, I am really pleased with the response we are getting, the standard email is a really helpful suggestion and would appreciate if you could use it.
I should have news for you all in the next 48 hours.
If any of you know of anyone who was disapointed when the last group buy fell through, please contact them and make sure they hear about this.
Many thanks.

I'm back!
Didn't mean to drop the ball :O Have been extremely busy.
I wouldn't say it's fallen through, the list has been growing daily.
Anyway if Jamie has the time to organise this properly maybe we will all get our new toys quicker
Jamie mail on it's way!

Excellent Im glad youre happy with the situation!
Also we will be hopefully supplying these on a permanent basis, but the group buy is the perfect method to bring them to you all at a cheaper price and to give me some pulling power with Dawes!
Here's to new toys!

Jamie, any chance you can do a Non-Flash version of you website, as not all of us have Flash and cannot install it due to work machine limitation (i.e they won't let me install extra s/w).

John, you dont think its worth getting the race version? you quick 2 euros on the delux? wrth the extra?
Or best to go with 1.5 bleed hole on a standard dawes (is it less prone to spike?)
Got a my99, no middle cat (soon to be no down pipe cat) K&N

John B - Currently my car is MY00 standard with the exception of a K&N panel filter and an STi backbox (but 237BHP). What would be the cars requirements in order to install the dawes device??...
How much of a saving is the group buy or should I wait until I have any necessary upgrades.
Thanks in advance for the advice....Ian

I have a 95WRX (bigger turbo than UK cars I believe!), firstly which Dawes would I need? And secondly, is it worth getting one fitted even if I am thinking of getting a Link ECU put on later in the year?
I'm not the most car technically minded so any help would be good.
Thanks
Scott
