8 bolt gearbox

ive got a new gearbox and its the 8 bolt bellhousing one and the one on my care is a 4 bolt one will this box fit onto my 2.5 block

do you no what needs drilling and tapping coz ive noticed the 4 bolt box has a bolt were the starter motor is and the 8 bolt box has not and all 4 bolt holes seem to match were they are on the 8 bolt box

well with the 4 bolt box there is a stud coming out for the starter and with the new one 8 bolt i no there is not so i hope there are two holes in the block to take the starter if not ill just tap it

I put a 2005 box onto a 1994 block, it bolted straight up no probs. Had to tap the bell housing to take the second fixing for the starter motor, M12 I used if I recall, also had to open out the hole on the starter motor so the M12 bolt went through.
