Default Steering column vibration

Tried to do a search on this topic but could'nt find a possible solution. When i go round corners on uneven ground, there is a fair amount of vibration through the steering column. Are there any remedies? All help and advice is appreciated.

Thanks
Rich

Sometimes if you have a poorly fitting downpipe it can catch on the steering UJ and give you a slight vibration when turning.

Only reason i ask

Ok Frayz, you know when you are at the Ring and you go round the Karousel, does your steering column judder a lot more than it would if you were going in a straight line??

Yeah, the Carousel is a bloody awful bit of surface mate. I try and keep the inside wheels on the curb so the car sits flatter and it doesnt tend to want to throw you out as much

Is this the only time it has happened then bud?

No mate, it happens on bends where the road is bumpy. I have heard of STI owners complain about this phenomenon before, but never seen or heard a solution.

Hi Rich,

My MY07 Spec C suffers with it too. I just put up with it and treat it as a feature of the car! However you shoudn't have to.

Best regards,

Ian
