Default Clutch Slip....But is it?

Hi all,

I have booked my car in for a new clutch next week, but I had a thought last night. The clutch slips when in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th when its just warmed up. Then when the car is warm and been driving for a period of time the clucth doesn't slip in 2nd or 3rd. Is this defo the clutch going or something else because I don't want to fork out for a clutch if it aint that.

Cheers

Craig

The expansion of the clutch componants as they get hot is altering the slip characteristics. So yes, it's still credit card time for you! I would imagine the flywheel will need skimming as well.
