Default help me clear up the gear ratios

im in search off a new box but on reading the spda gearing codes i cant quite work out these gearings.

a 93 wrx has the final ratio of 4.11 but i have also been looking at an sti ra v2 box and diff but that is a 3.900 (dccd) final ratio i thought the higher the final ratio the quicker through the gears it was

so simply which off these boxes is best for acceleration

You have got to take into account the different gearbox drive ratio's too.

Stick them all in the spreadsheet on here it will give you a better idea

can you get an extremely long 5th gear to fit to an RA box for motorway cruising ? (fuel economy)

if so how much are you looking to fit one?

Cheers
Chris.
