Rear Diff - Find out what you have installed
Afternoon
Just looking for alittle bit of adive, I have just replaced my gearbox on a Type R, the last gearbox was leaking alot of oil. I have replaced the gearbox xmas eve and everything seemed to be ok, I checked under the car last night and see oil everywhere again
Im thinking the rear diff might not be a 4.444 ratio, then causing problems with the gearbox? Can this happen Im not so sure Can anyone tell me where to find the part number on the rear diffs? Or how you know if its a 4.444 diff.
Thanks for your time guys
Pablo

You need to remove the rear diff, and take off the backplate - CWP ratio is stamped on the side of the crownwheel.

so the oil is leaking from gearbox? is it the back of gearbox?
if you didnt clean propshaft before putting back into box you could have knackered the seal with a bit of dirt. i did this a year ago now. you simply have to take off prop and replace rear seal insitu. was under a tenner i think.
