I think it would be B17 white Rear oxygen sensor signal wire. The front sensor is a wideband device AFAIK and not compatible with the Dawes AFR.
Please note that connecting an analog (relatively low impedance) voltmeter to the signal wire or accidentally shorting the signal wire to ground or 12 V will destroy the sensor.

Help I have bought a AFR meter from Dawes fr my MY01 WRX - along with the boost controller - and unfortunately it does not give instructions on how to connect the AFR's white wire to the O2 sensor. Does this splice into an ECU connection or direct onto the sensor in the exhaust ?

I think the connections on the MY01 are probably different to the MY95, but the above thread will give you general help.
http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com/m...ng/wrxpin.html will give you US MY02 wiring which hopefully is the same as the UK MY01. Perhaps a MY01 owner who has fitted a lambda display can confirm.
