Can anyone tell me how long the set pressure has to be held for the fuel cut to operate on a std. MY00?
Whilst setting up my Dawes I saw over 1.3 bar held for 2 to 3 seconds without any sign of cut. At first I suspected my boost guage so I took it off and calibrated it against a very accurate industrial guage which showed it was reading about 2% low!!.

I've set the Dawes up at 1.15 bar at everything seems ok including fuelling but do I need to get the fuel cut checked out?

I think if you held 1.25bar(possibly a bit more or less) for about 4 seconds in 5th gear by accelerating from 2500 to 5000RPM you would see a fuel cut.

Thanks John I'll check it out.

ps. I've been following your various projects with interest, they've rekindled on old interest in electronics for me as I originally trained in instrument control some 30 years ago. Reckon I might get the old soldering iron out and have a go at a few things.

Do it on a dry straight piece of road, and don't go over 1.3 bar trying to find it. It can be a little surprising when it first happens.
