The last thread is getting a bit tired so:
I'm trying to prove the ECU I have is definitely a PPP item to prospective buyers.
I think the answer is in the blue sticker on the yellow plastic, on my ECU it says "000" then "DV8" below.
Would any kind Ladies or Gents be prepared to tell me what their blue sticker says on their MY97/98 PPP?
Or what does the sticker on the ECU casing read?
(There should be a number like A18-000-DV8)
Tks to everyone who replied to my other thread, unfortunately the MY97/98 ECU is different from Pre 97 or 99/00 cars.
Many Thanks,John

Hi Boost II, I did call Prodrive several times but they said they couldn't help me unless I had the metal casing with it
(which I don't).The case has the serial numbers written on it.
Anyway I'm now in touch with someone who has a PPP ECU so hopefully I can stop boring people with all this :-)Cheers,JohnW

John, I can also confirm that the PPP ecu has has A18-000 DV8 on the casing and on the little blue sticker 000 DV8.

The normal ECU is A18-000 D37, with the 000 D37 on the sticker.

Thanks v much JohnS, a double confirmation!
Stan, I would say the PPP ECU is worth whatever the buyer is willing to pay,I would ask about £450 I suppose,(sorry Matt, but it's only a little 4 in front of the £50

Ahhh crap

John I doubt you'll have any trouble selling it for that either

If I wasn't imminently unemployed I'd be interested (although I'd haggle a bit )

Hiya John, good news about the bike and hope the weather stays fine for you to do the rounds. Sorry to say I doubt that I will be home on Sunday pm (I have got a tentative arrangement). Here's my mobile if you want to give me a bell to check first Enjoy!!!! Jen.

Woah Jen, be careful about giving out your number, this BBS could be full of weirdos (like me :-)
I'll have to pop in to see my mate Richard & eat all his mothers'scrummy home made biscuits instead.
Maybe it's for the best, slippery road conditions (dd ;-) plus new tyres could equal the fastest insurance claim ever!

Matt, sorry to hear about your job situation, actually I'm in the same boat but I'm hoping I'll last until June/July,possibly longer.
Will you get any redundancy?
Cheers,JW
