how do u get the crakshaft pulley off

trying to remove the crankshaft pulley locked it in first gear and put on the hand break and still cant remove it .... is it left hand thread or somthing ,there must be a way to lock it somwhere .

You need an *ST*
Subaru special tool to stop the crank from turning while you undo the pulley...... It's VERY difficult to do if you can't stop the crnk from turning.
Just leaving it in gear is not usually enough either.

You should see 4 round holes in the pulley. The tool has four pegs that go into these holes. The pegs are mounted on a ring with a handle to hold the pulley in place. The socket goes in the middle of the ring and vola.
