Default classic gearbox & diff into newage-anybody done it?

as my other thread says-my 54 plate wrx gearbox is dead,i have the chance to buy a version 6 sti box and matching diff thats been rebuilt by api for a really good price and i have a few questions

-is the classic 5 speed stronger than the newage? i want to run around 330+bhp through it

-what are the ratio's like compared to a newage?

-what oil will i need for the box and diff please? would like to buy from opie oils so if somebody could link me that would be great

cheers

matt

if your going to buy from elsewhere then i may not tell you..................

personally you want CRX75w90 and we are usually one of the cheapest suppliers all year round..............diff oil would depend on which you use but LS if using the STi one

as for ratios they are shorter than what you have now and will add approx 1000rpm to your 70mph cruising speed but will be faster and more urgent through the gears

as long as the rear diff is out of a 4door STi R160 style its prettty much a straight swap
