Hi,

The Green Monster goes in next week for its second 60k miles service although the clock will be just over 100k...

Anyone know rough cost of the 60k service?

I see on the schedule the gearbox oil is replaced, should I go for Redline gear oil? some of the time going to first is a bit stiff (ooeeerrr) but obviously the old oil is at the end of its life so could just be that?!

Cheers guys

demon tweeks sell it.

there are three grades of the hi shock stuff.

but the heaviest is supposed to ahve the viscosity of the standard 75/90 or whatever it is but the protection of a 240.

I went for this due to the supposedly hi torque of my engine, and my gearbox still runs fine.

Okay cheers Adam... my engine is standard at the minute..
With the miles clocking up it will probably stay that way,
would be nice to make finding first on a cold morning easier though.

I'll check Demon tweeks website at lunchtime then.

Their website is pants. You need the (paper) catalogue and to order by phone. If you phone them and tell them what you want, they should be able to deliver.

What did you go for in the end?

Prefer Syntrax or Shockproof?

Gearbox oil was not changed as the schedule was a different service than I thought it was..

Now servicing the car myself as it was getting expensive for not much imho.. so might do the gearbox oil soon..
