Will a gear selector from hatchback sti fit to blobeye without major problems?

NO, the hatch equipment is too long for the hole in the floor of a blob or Hawk.

The colour code is the secret. The earlier cars [ before hatch ] have a gold coloured set of selector linkage. The Hatch linkage is silver coloured. They can be shortened, we do it regularly, but you need a gold set to copy.

We have never bothered with measurements, we just copy, so sorry cannot help with any more than that. It is about ABOUT 20 mm
