Default 1st and 2nd gear issue

Pulled away this morning and all normal until I tried to changed down to second and couldn't and first is stiff too.
I did pull on the gearshift a bit hard, could I have bent the linkage cause all other gears are fine including reverse ?

Another question is how do I remove the linkage and gear shift, at a guess the centre console has to come out

are you sure its not just because the oil in the box is not up to temperature. wait until the car is up to temp and see if its still the same.

Driven it 25 miles and no different, the feel on the stick when moving from 1st to 3rd feels lumpy like something has snapped off and the linkage is running over the top of it and the shift pops up slightly in that short movement

Can't see how, it isn't noisy at all and I can't even push the shift back to even attempt to get it into gear, it feels like your trying to engage a gear that isn't there or the linkage is out of alignment which can't be as all other gears can be engaged, 1st is very stiff though
