is it OK to run after new injectors/turbo?
Hi guys, this sort of thing comes up regularly I know but I can't find anything specific to my needs.
Anyway, I have a 2004 sti which was mapped by Duncan, since then I have had the engine out to do some work and whilst out I have fitted an MDX321T and a set of 650cc injectors.
Obviously before I drive it I need to get the map altered which is in hand however I wonder if it will be safe to run the engine up to check everything is fitted correctly and to bleed the cooling system?
I will ask Duncan but as its the weekend I don't expect a reply till Monday at least so any help is much appreciated.
Thanks Ian.

Turbo is ok as long as you are watchfull of boost. Can disconnect wastegate penny or put pipe straight from compressor output to actuator if stock pressure actuator.
Ecu uses lambda to correct fueling in closed loop. It does need very gentle control to keep it in that state. A step up or two will be ok but if you significantly change size it will struggle. If you can access ecu you can make a rudamentry change to global fueling multiplier is safer bet. There are other ways such as changing fuel pressure but changing like from 3 bar to 3.5 is only 10% increase as it works out as square root of ratio.
Theres also latencies to consider but anything based on reflowed oem will not need any changes, this includes the likes of deatchwerks which i was recommended.
