hi all I started my car this afternoon 1st time in a couple of days and there was a lot of white smoke and a bit lumpy after a couple of revs the lumpynuss went it only revs to 4k when out of gear as well .also when I drive there's a slight smell of burning oil every so often

is the turbo going

Full stainless exhaust system, Ninja2 back box and afterburner center pipe, cobra sports cat d/pipe, sti decat up-pipe.
cosworth panel filter.

 

it's possible that launch control was also added to your map - check with engine tuner to see if that's by design or not. A little bit of smoke when cold is expected if it's been sitting for a while - you'll have moisture build up in the exhaust that has to evaporate off.

what plugs are you running, grade 6 or grade 7? if it's the colder plugs (7's) it might be you need to get out for the old italian tune up to clean them up a bit.

 

My previous and current decatted scooby throw condensation out the back like a steam train when cold. Nothing to worry about. And yep sounds like launch control is activated as part of remap. I wouldnt use that tho until car is up to temp if i was you.
