Cold weather hitting boost cut

Cold weather hitting boost cut
As above car is a 2001 Sti jdm , it's had a cat back done and remap , warmer weather it's fine , when it's 10 degrees or so below it hits the boost cut in 6th , is there some thing on an ecutek map that reduces boost in colder weather or is there another way of doing it , the duty cycle has been turned down to I think 97 per cent , if that makes any sense to any one , any advice please thanks

In the colder/bad weather the barometric pressure drops,on a standard map the lower the baro pressure then the lower the boost limit is set,so sounds like this could be the issue?

So I don't know if there is some way of adjusting boost to temperature when it's cold weather , as when it's warm it's fine , it's around 3000 rpm is the issue if it's higher then it's ok , but if boost is reduced at those revs is it reduced in all gears at those revs ?

Sounds like the boost limit is set too low at the lower barometric level as said , when Warner weather you never use this limit hence the car is fine , the boost limit needs to be raise far this barometric level

are you hitting the same amount of boost as before or is there more boost now? You should have boost target and wastegate duty compensations based on atmospheric pressure and IAT's as well as per gear so combining them together should sort this for you.

the ECU was learning - what was it learning? It should stick the values it was programmed for the learning would only be minor corrections to hold targets. I'd say first port of call should be back to your mapper for a little finishing tweak.

Its boost has gone up so whatever systems support the boost going higher seem to have done what they have done , it was set to achieve 1.45 bar or over and in theory limited to just under 1.55 bar but it's going higher than that since it was mapped , it's already been adjusted but has gone up since , the Ecu in the fsti drive it like an old fart for a while then boot it and it will give you more boost irrelevant of the weather

The target boost on the car with the issue is 1.45 but the boost is going too high after that even after being adjusted , I know cold weather gives you more boost , and the mapper has turned the boost level down but it's still going too high and hitting the boost cut

then it needs adjusted again, either set the base duty for this weather and an increase in duty using the comp tables for when IAT/atmospheric pressure changes or set the base duty for better weather and use the comps to get it back in line now. If it's wildly out of control could it be something more basic like a hose popped off or split vac line at the turbo causing it?

Hi cheers for that , I will chat with the guy doing it , it's one of those things but very frustrating as not resolved yet , car is a lot better with Map done when it's not hitting the boost cut , it's hopefully a simple tweek
