Default limiter

Hi guys I require some advice. I have recently discovered that my UK 94 turbo 2000 has either previously undergone an engine transplant with an import model or has had the turbo, ecu etc swapped for some off an import. It's currently got a TD05 with a Z4 ecu but it also has the 3 piped water pump rather than the 2 pipe and it has the individual ht leads which leads me to think it's more an engine swap. But my issue is the car has the limiter applied so it cuts out at 112mph/180kph. I have read various posts and it comes down to its either the clocks or a chip needed on the ecu but I am unsure which I require. As far as I know the speedo etc are standard UK spec so would I be right in thinking I require the ecu chip? If so where is the best place to get on and where can I get it fitted?

Obviously for when he's on his private runway.

I expect someone will be alone with something useful in a minute OP.

its a KPH to MPH converter, so your speedo shows what MPH you are doing as you drive along.

this type of thing.

Being a 94 car I doubt they changed the gearbox when they did the engine transplant so basing that you need a mechanical converter for the speedo cable, it easier to fit one to the gearbox rather than behind the clocks

The one in that link isn't suitable for Subaru tho but it gives you an idea of what you need

i transplanted a v4 sti engine into my 98uk turbo wagon, using the 6s ecu. with the cam crank and fuel pins, its runs perfect... 112 limiter is there, 120 on speedo. dont need to go faster its already driving ban territory.
