ESL IAT sensor gradient and offset
Hello everyone.
I mounted an IAT sensor in my 95 gt.
The esl software allows me to set the gradient and offset of the sensor.
How to i determine the gradient of the sensor and it's offset?
I have some info about the sensor below

for that sensor you'd probably have to reduce the offset and increase the gradient from the ESL default settings (standard settings read from -20 at 14kohm to 100c at 340ohm)
If you have a multimeter to read the sensor resistance then you can use the scale provided in the PDF to tinker the values until the ECU is reporting the right value for temps based on the multimeter ohms. You only need two known reference points to setup a linear sensor so one can be ambient temps (use met office or another car's outside temp and your cars sensor in free air) then a glass of ice water to read zero. Adjust the gradient first then the offset and you should have it running in no time.
