Removing the Secondary air pump !!
Hello guys, I purchased my first Subaru 06 Hawkeye wrx just over a week ago and I've had a engine light come on with the code P1410, something to do with a low circuit voltage on the secondary air pump ! I know this as I have a obd2 scanner. I cleared the code and all was fine for a day and then yesterday the light came back on with this new code P2444 which is the secondary air pump stuck on ! .
I've been trawling the net for hours and it would seem this is a common fault on the 2.5 engines as its a system that was added as I kinda after thought to bring emissions down on start up and doesn't effect the running of the car.
My dilemma is its very expensive to replace all the parts so I've read you can take it off, blank off the feed into the engine and re-flash your ECU to not read the codes, has anyone else done this and where did you get it done ?? I'm based in the south east, help please lol !u

Just spoken to slow boy racing near Brands hatch and they have removed the system and erased the codes many times before, and the price was very reasonable so I'm going to book it in. Ill let you all know how I get on ; )
