Ive always kept the philosophy that if the team are english then i would prefer them to win when playing foreign opponents if it does not directly affect my team......which is unlikely in this instance as i support CRYSTAL PALACE!!! Oh yes the one and only "EAGLES"

what makes me laugh is they are this alledged hot shot, unbeatable team who have amazing players and play amazing attacking football, but when it comes to 10minutes from the end and they need goals what do they do?
put on one of the best+quickest wingers around (Shaun WP)?
work really had to use all those 'awesome' skills?
or
stick on a big center back up front and lump the ball to him!!!!
what a load of rubish!!! ha ha ha ha

we played well but were outclassed by Ronaldinho ... I don't mind not qualifying if Barca now go on to win the competition.
Chelsea put on a good display and we earnt a draw. I think if there had of been 11 vs 11 in the first leg it would be Chelsea going through. With Ferrera moved over to cover Del Horno Messi had the run of the ball and ripped us to pieces.
11 vs 11 would have seen Chelsea prevail ... we are a better all round side than Barca

You obviousely didn't watch the match then!!! It's hard to see skill when listening on a wireless
re the cheating comment, yeh our players dived ... they got back what they deserved but I'm talking about what side played better. As long as Barca now win the comp I am happy to see Chelsea go out to the champions. Just like Liverpool doing us last season - happy to loose the the eventual champions

I thought it was a pretty good game, not a Chelsea fan by a long way but would prefer them to have won.
The first game was a bit of a stitch up for them with del horno being dismissed for a dumb *** tackle - that was the difference between the teams in the first game and I am sure the out come would have been different 11 v 11.
Second game didnt seem to flow well, fouls every few minutes stagnating play. Barcelona were not that much better on the night, a couple of seconds of brilliance from Ronaldinho and Eto'o made the difference for me. It was a shame the eventual outcome for Chelsea.

There are always excuses
Bad Ref's, Bad decisions, etc etc
But this is Football and these things happen
Until they introduce video playback it will continue
AND final thought WTF is it with the surrounding of the ref !! I thought that was going to be a bookable offence this year
I am also a big Rugby Fan do you see Players doing that there? NO because they have respect for the ref
Anyway
Lets turn our attentions to Liverpool and Arsenal tonight
We must get at least one team through ..................... PLEASE

Joe.....
Using the same logic does that mean we should be supporting Real Madrid tonight as they have more English players than arsenal?

LOL....
I was actually supporting Madrid tonight as I have a bit of a soft spot for them after going to see them play Barca in the Bernabeu last year.....Madrid are the only exception to my philosophy though....

Got nothing against chelsea, no personal vendetor,
just speaking as an impartial viewer who was shocked to see shaun WPhillips stuck on the bench and huth on when openinings were needed. damn weird and it didnt work!!
