yep, made 3 flamers so far, my damn supervisor keeps leaving me work to do
Sounds like the positive lead and switched positive (ignition) has been wired up the wrong way round.
What should happen is that the turbo timer keeps a positive feed to the ECU, etc to keep the engine running, when the timer senses that the ignition is turned off, it bypasses the ignition for the set duration, then shuts down.
Also you may of some how wired in the illumination lead to the handbrake input of the timer.
When the timer is running, and some barsteward thinks your car is too good for you, he/she gets in, and as soon as they release the handbrake, the timer cuts out, rendering the car lifeless.
What Timer have you got? I presume it didn't come with a pre wired harness that plugs directly into the ignition leads.
If you need help, give me a shout, and I'll check it over for you.
I'm only on nights for this week........hopefully

Blitz turbo timers have a saftey feature, that the hand brake has to be on for the timer to operate. Mine has a purple wire going to the hand brake sensor, this has to be connected for the timer to work.
