Smile made a **** of myself.....

walked into B&Q (bas) and looked around 5 mins (casually glancing for buckety type things) and came across bright ORANGE buckets on sale.

Not settling for anything less than the real mccoy, i plucked up enough courage to ask a sales assistant if they still did the "clear" buckets.

She wasn't sure (well, more puzzled), and summoned the resident "bucket officiado" from the back room.

The guy asked me where i'd heard about that, and i made up a story about a friend recommended them for transferring fish (i know... it was the first thing that came into my head).

He only ever recalled the "black" buckets and even gave me the exact date they stopped selling the black ones...
i thanked him for his time, before i fell asleep, and settled for 2 nice shiney ORANGE pails instead

I hope the car will still come up nice.

infact, if the blue sky comes out today, then so will the buckets....

STOP PRESS......

The Orange buckets are really good.
You can see all the grit, and nasties at the bottom clear as day.
in fact i think "orange" is the new "clear"

Highly recommended!!! @98p

i do need to add this....

one end of one of the handles manged to come away from its fixing and as i went to move the bucket, i upended it all over my foot!!!!! - still, cleaned my trainers as well as the car, so not all bad

Steve, dodn't have any application material for the polish, to hand, so this will get done next time.

i found an old sock to polish the exhaust though!!!!!

See you buy inferior products and they fall apart. You have to pay that little bit extra for quality!!!!!!!!!

my patented "stop the handle coming out" system will hold up to anything the clear buckets can carry!!!

orange also visibly reminds me to put the buckets away, instead of reversing over them !!!

bring sunglasses to the halfway house with ya!!! - you'll need them. lol.

Dazza

edited to say, i'm worried my car will look like a Delorean, after claying!!!!

OK, so when it comes to cleaning your cars, some of you are just nuts

I'll stick to the quick rub down with a soapy sponge and a rinse off with a watering can
