yeah I thought about that, not sure if the screens are as good, they seem a little smaller, and I don't think the build quality is as good

rhybeck - Pimp my ride.........my God !! I can gladly say that i have not based my design or indeed influenced by anything aired on this programme. This is a one off self designed system. Having been an electronics engineer in a previous life, this is where i got the inspiration. We will talk of this programme no more
Anyhow.....thanks for the feedback guys, much appriciated.
TINY - We really really need to talk
If your LCD screen is already touchscreen which has the necessary inputs etc to take a PC, then you will save quite a few pounds. However, i'd image the touchscreen is for the operating system that Kenwood use for their headunit, ie built in. PM / email me the model number etc and i will tell you if it'll be compatible.
There are still other software additions on the pipeline. ie Live GPS tracking, front camera video recording with speed trace overlay etc etc. The live GPS tracking will enable you to log onto a web site which will display a map and locate the exact position of your car. Similar to Tracker, but what the owner of the car can use. As the hardware is in, the software possibilities are endless
Any other questions guys, fire away !!
