The main MY03 standard turbo hose is like this :-

The Samco one is like this :-

All those ripples in the OE one do not help the smooth flow of air through the IC. I also have the PPP PD Y-pipe, which is near enough the same as the Samco one. When I change my IC I want to change the other two hoses so will replace all 3 together as a set & sell the PPP one as it is still good to go.

Taken from Samco blurb.

Why silicone?

For the best looks and performance it has to be silicone. Silicone hoses operate at much higher temperatures and pressures than other rubbers. Silicone is renowned for providing maximum protection in automotive engine applications.

Why are Samco hoses the best?

With superlative quality proven on race and rally circuits worldwide, Samco silicone hoses are the first choice for engineers demanding total reliability under competition and fast road conditions. Samco hoses are used by the likes of Prodrive, Ferrari, Maclaren and Williams. For the best looks and performance it has to be Samco.

If it's the STi alloy pipe then you use a different kit made up of 4 pieces so you keep the alloy pipe & fit it with the new hoses.

As in first post.

Availability

You ring ~ he says if in stock.

As I want black they are made to order & are going to be 4-5 weeks.

I have been searching around for a while & a few group buys didn't get off the ground & then these guys were right on my door step all along.

He didn't give a cut off date. It sounded open ended other than if there was a price rise by Samco themselves.

Ordered Monday 5 Feb & arrived Tuesday 27 Feb.

(3 week-ish turnaround)

I got the clips & the hose joiner from a local hydraulic/industrial hose supplier.

£20 for 14 stainless steel banded clips & an ally hose joiner. In industry these clips are supposed to be the "Rolls Royce" of clips. None of your stripped thread worm drive nonsense.

MIKALOR CLIPS CLICK HERE

Just need to fit it all now.

Mark

I haven't.

I still have my top & bottom hoses to go on when I drop my anti freeze out come service time.

Why?

Are you after a set?
