Anyone fancy some 330mm Brembos????
Just testing the waters here as i may well be selling my brembo setup if i decide to upgrade. I need to know if my current kit will sell first though.
The calipers will be overhauled, cleaned and painted. (Probably black but could do any colour)
Tarox G88 40 groove discs that have done approx 5k and have plenty of life left and a set of yellowstuff R's that have done about 500miles tops.
As i will be painting the calipers they will be mint.
Looking for the best offer over £550 for the lot

STi 17's work ..... That is the problem I had with my Brembo's
Very good price Frayz, the cost of the discs and pads is almost your asking price alone
Wish you had them up about a month ago
Bibo, I phones around for prices on 'used' STi wheels, and at the cost of them, I considered the better thing to do was buy new wheels, I believe Grade A sourced some STi wheels for £400 + VAT (£470 inc) , my wheels (18" Rotas) cost £519.99 delivered and are brand new ...... You do the Maths

If you use spacers, you will also need longer wheel studs, as you won't get enough turns on the wheel nuts to be safe.
+ running a classic, that extra offset *may* rub on your arches, I would suggest correct fitment wheels, DONT GO THE SPACER ROUTE.
I have been all through this myself .

Cheers Nate,
I'm running 3mm spacers on frt as it is to clear my Subaru 4pots (with longer stds).
Only thing is my wheels are nearly new!!!!!! New wheels anyone?

As said i think ive priced these VERY well.. almost too cheap.
Theyre currently still on my scoob, as im waiting on prices for upgrades. Unfortunately the 330mm 6 pot AP kit is about £400 more than the 355mm 6 pot kit.
This is due to the 330mm kit being designed around a much better race bred caliper over the road caliper that comes with the 355's.
Current going rate is about £1850 for the 330mm AP 6 pot kit. Thats more than the powerstation Porsche setup!!!

I know ive seriously undercut myself here.. not as if i can raise the price now though
I paid £550 for those Tar-ox discs alone and the Yellowstuff Rs have just cost me £100 and have done no more than 500miles.
I priced up the calipers with Saj @ JPP and he wanted £450 for the pair+ P&P.
I will even have the fixings converted to steel inserts "Timeserts" (NOT HELICOIL) when theyre refurbed so theyre much stronger than OEM.

If I can find some rims... someone fancy my Subaru 4 pots with close to new EBC grooved discs and a spare set of nearly new std ones?
They are loads better than std 2 pots......
These calipers have only been on a couple of months

frayz,
have you bought your AP's yet?
I'm doing a GB for AP's
fronts & fronts and rear setups
prices are over on the rb320oc forums if you're interested..
I'm going to get 356 fronts.
you were saying that the 330 rotor calipers are a better one then the one used on the 356 rotors. i had the 356's on my RB5 and felt no different to my mates RB5 that had the 330 setup.
bit of a balance, smaller rotors but stronger caliper & vica versa. for the large margin £500 in cost the 356's are a better option IMO

With all due respect Mark and i may be wrong in saying that your car was never used hard on track. The 330s and 355s may feel identical on the road.
Its not untill your hard on the brakes lap after lap that the 330s really come into their own.
Also, as Dynamix has said, i want the use of 17" wheels on track. RE070s are my circuit tyre of choice, and i really dont want the added weight of the 355s and calipers, 18" wheels/tyres.. this all adds up as rotating unsprung weight
Weight that in my eyes is not required.
The 330mm 6 piston calipers are a fully sorted race derived caliper.. therefore in my eyes is worth the extra premium.
Hope this clears up my reasoning a little better
