Default Skid control course

Before I book anything up, would anyone be interested in doing a skid control course?

I have enquired at a couple of places for more information, so will post up as soon as I get it.

Dear

Thank you for your enquiry for use of the Essex Skid Pan. Below is the price list requested. I have also included other information for you. If you require any other information or wish to discuss your requirements please do not hesitate to contact me.

One person = one Hour = £135 (H & Safety = 2 Attendants reqd.)

Two persons = one Hour = £210

Three persons = Two hours = £270

Four persons = Two Hours = £330

Five to Eight = Three Hours = £480 = one session.

Session = 9am to 12md OR 1pm to 4pm

We are aware that some groups will contain a greater number of members and wish to attend together we would encourage this team spirit to enjoy the experience, so prices will be given on application

A Full day, two sessions, could qualify for a further small discount.

Food is also a possibility that could be arranged. Just Call Mick with your requirements.

Note; The ideal number in a group is eight to ten people. Each get the most out of a session, with good spell at the wheel without getting exhausted.

Yours sincerely

Mick Spalding

is this at North Weald? if so, i've been and can recommend it. much like driving round a car park in icy conditions, but the "conditions" are simluated and controlled by the instructor.
good experience and definately worth doing IMHO

done this years ago with ford, at essex police skidpan in chelmsford (i think)

do you use their cars???

there are 2 methods, one is an old sierra in an oily, wet area (easy..!!!) and the other is some yokes that fit under your car, taking all the weight off the tyres...

i'd sooner pay for a track day to be honest, but a good idea nonetheless.

That fair enough mate, just thought it would be a good skill to learn as winter is fast approaching and could also be invaluable on a track day when someone gives it a bit too much beans on the bends and chicanes, not that I've ever spun off a track.............much
