Will a Uk spec Engine Fit in a jap import car just so happens i have a uk spec engine and a friend of mine has a wrx with a blown engine will it go in and will it be easy or is everything different AKA Wires etc

My limited experience say's as long as you sway ECU's you might be ok....?

There are a number of wires that may also need swapping? Are they the same series?

Someone like Zak at Mocom would be able to advise more....

Actaully the basic blocks and head should be the same?

They will swap as you have the original engine to swap bits from, how well a uk engine lasts on a jap ecu another question tho...

I have a U.K. wagon on a jap ecu (fitted about 4 years ago) and it seems fine

couldnt i just put the uk ecu in as i have both cars

The Wiring looms may be different, so may not have the same connectors on it... best have a look

You will have to swap the wires over for the camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor
