Default Mixed Feelings. For Sale.

    • Last night we find out she's pregnant.
    • No job for her = No maternity leave / pay.
    • I can't afford to pay all the bills and run the Scoob.

I know I shouldn't value my car over having a rugrat on the way but I'm gutted and over-the-bloody-moon at the same time.
The fuel bill is £120 a week, without Lisa earning means I have to find another £600 a month. Pretty much impossible, but cutting the fuel bill gets me about £250 a month closer to the target.
As fellow owners you can appreciate the fact that it is entirely possible to love a car and feel so gutted if you have to get rid of it. Especially as I've only had her for just about 2 months.
So with a heavy heart from one perspective and with a skippy happy dancing heart full of wonderment and excitement from another, I bring you......the link to the Pistonheads ad.

sorry to hear about that. just turn round and tell her employers that you feel they have let her go because she's expecting and you're going to take them to an employment tribunal

if it helps, i thought i'd have to sell my scooby when the little one came along and managed to keep it. then sold it through pure choice and ended up buying another one.

Cheers Bushmeister. A Beemer probably. Or a Poxhall Ashtray SXI.

Not sure buddy, just know it's gotta be cheaper to run.

God this hurts. I need to find a sponsor. Then I can keep her.

True mate, I had the 1.6sxi from brand new back in 99. Did me proud.

I will so get back to Scoob ownership whether it takes me another 5 or 10 years though.

lol, if i didn't have mine to sell, or another car parking space at home, i'd have driven one away!!!! - top place and Paul the sales guy has plenty of time for the "i'm a classic owner, can you tell me about the different new models" brigade (which i fall into)

also taken a bit of advice from our friendly ESC advice man for extra gilt edged approval

the only dilemma left is WR Blue vs Tarmac Grey!!!

please someone nice buy my car.....

Can't really afford to Nate, would love to though. But as everyone reminds me, it's just a gap in between one Scoob and another. Which is true. Just hope the gap aint too big....
