Well I've had a grands worth of Canon strapped to the side of my car barreling along a bumpy country lane at speeds up to the national speed limit with no problemo

Your call of course and I'm not making any promises

Default Quality

You could try these:

Hague

They offer next day delivery, but not sure if that includes Saturdays.

These are superb mounts, using Manfrotto fittings.

Hope that helps.

well i picked up the maplins one as its only £8 just to see...

now ive got it home and shoved the smaller panasonic on it (no way would the canon even fit )

i have a question..... am i being a complete numpty, or is the only way to fix to the window with the maplins one , is to fix to the side window.

reason i ask is its a very short arm with a ball joint so it seems that the sucker will only get past the camcorder on one side, so effectively fixing it to the passenger side window seem to be the only place to shove it rather than the front screen

just put me out of my misery and either call me a complete donkey, or tell me that i am correct and the side window is where its got to go.

milamber - thatll be the still then.... maybe i should have mentioned that for stills it look perfect, as long as its mounted externally.. however i was after a video mount for internal application..

Frayz - yes video mate... ive got a couple of DV camcorders that im not going to attach outside of the car, but the still can go on this maplins one fine outside..

so im still looking for a nice video mount

It needs to be able to record via an external source so needs the male RCA inputs.

right.. heres what they have (seeing as ive never used these for anything other than recordsing and edting on the PC

Panasonic - AV out Phones with an S-video out and an "edit" one which looks very similar to the S-video.
so i think this camera is a no no.

Canon XM2 - a yellow (size of a headhone socket) thats marked A/V in/out linked to the s-video below.

so possibly. jeez wheres the instructions when you need em.

frayz - it was only for the TR tomorrow... im not too fussed about putting people out of their way.. but was just thinking of assisting a bit with footage.

its not a major problem as ill probably set my stills camera up inside (as that doesn't matter about being upside down) and take a load of stills from inside the front screen.

I thought tiny said he had a vid mount for sale - ill prob PM him.

whilst on the subjest of bullet cams, did you get that setup for the ring ?

Yeah mate i did get it for the ring. However its now illeagal to record on the ring so thats a bit of a pain. I have used it on track a quite a bit though both on my own car and on friends cars.

As for the mount that Tiny had, thats my mount now and its already been loaned out. Sorrry lol

grrrrrr

oh well - i would say that i'd go and just get one of the ones from the above site but unfortunatly i was passing by basildon today and popped in to see someone on the burnt mills ind. est. whilst there i ended up wandering over to H & S.... opps, now pockets a bit too light to warrant spending £60 on a video mount.

bought a new centre and rear section
