CHILDREN IN NEED CONVOY FRIDAY 16 NOVEMBER 2007
CHILDREN IN NEED CONVOY TO NORWICH
FRIDAY NOVEMBER 16TH
(Early Evening)
FRIDAY NOVEMBER 16TH
(Early Evening)
For the fifth year running, the ESC will be helping Scoobycity in supporting the BBC's Children In Need appeal, with their now-famous, and magazine featured Charity Convoy through Norwich City Centre.
If you've never been on this before, you've missed out on one of the most satisfying, enjoyable and worthwhile events of the year.........where else would you get a convoy of dozens of Scoobs, creating havoc by taking over the city centre roads, making a complete spectacle of themselves, whilst raising money and doing it all with the support of the Norfolk Constabulary?
Last year, we had about 93 cars, and raised several thousand pounds, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves into the bargain. A £5 per car donation can be made on the night please & would be greatfully received.
Sponsor forms are available from the BBC Children In Need website , so you can go around your friends, family and co-workers to get them to donate to this most worthy of causes.
Once again, this year we will have the full support of the Norfolk Constabulary (thanks to Dirty Harry .44), to lead the convoy, and to block off the junctions, roundabouts etc so we can enjoy uninterrupted progress through the city.
We will be stopping to regroup at Castle Meadow as we did last year but there will be NO park up in Gentlemans Walk this time. However something else is being arranged. Details to follow.
After the convoy there will be a gathering for a drink & some food at The Village Inn, Little Melton, just out of Norwich before we head back.

If you want a good place to see us we are being escorted slowly down Prince of Wales Road taking up all two lanes a popping & a banging. Also along Gentlemans Walk although this year we won't be stopping there ~ just a drive through on the way to the Village Inn at Little Melton for a drink & some food.
Baz it will be great to have you & Ann along on this. I have ammended my first post as they have moved the leaving time back to 7.30pm to give the Southern Hordes a bit longer to get up to Norwich.
I will PM you my mobile.

Maps showing the new posing route are being worked on & will be posted shortly. Here is the main city center posing one. Click on it for clearer image.
This year we are being escorted all the way from Macro into the main area where people gather in the evening in Norwich. We then regroup in Castle Meadow as last year then it's another pose all the way through Gentlemans Walk before being escorted out to Little Melton.
Scoobycity are going great guns on this & have 21 cars signed up already since Sunday night.

The guys from Scoobycity have produced this poster to put on their cars.
A few of their newbies have asked "Who are the Essex Scooby Crew?"
Essex Scooby crew? Mind if I alter that before I print them off?
&
I presume that the Essex Scooby Crew is a club like Scooby City??
I think we need to show them what we are about although Rob has put them right.
For those who don't know, the Essex Scooby Crew are yes, another regional club, and yes - they're from Essex.
They've always been very good friends of ours, and huge supporters of this event, which is why the poster makes reference to both clubs.

1: Cusco Demon (razy+poss mrs)
2: Strawberry & Ninja
3. Jim

Come on people, get your names down. What else would you be doing, probably watching the event on TV, why not be part of it.
As a one of special, you "may" even get escorted to Norwich, all in the name of Charity .
Lets show Norwich what Essex can do.

We can't have those Tractor boys outnumbering us now can we?
And maybe a "STiecial" escort to Norwich as a one off has got to be made the most of. Hasn't it?

Not sure if I'm going to make this now.
Tracey broke the car, this morning.
Well, she was driving it when the radiator blew.
Will be doing everything I can to have it fixed by Friday though.
Got to try and get it taken to Xtremes tomorrow morning, then it will be over to Paul to work his magic.
