Advice please re: GB270
Hi all
Can I pick your brains a bit, I have been offered a brand new GB270 for £4K less than the release price, the only thing I don`t like is it hasn`t got the leather/alcantara interior but that can be added later!....and I don`t know what to do
1: asthetically I like the hawkeye but I also like my WRX300
2: performance wise,is there an enormous difference that in the real world I`ll notice? I know the GB is 5-10bhp better off and there is an increase in torque but will I really notice this, or is it the difference between engine capacities?
3: does anyone have any thoughts on residual values between the two models?
4: can my Defi gauges be relocated without too much hassle, I mean are there different fittings for the two models?
Cheers

For what you would get trade in on the 300, on financial grounds I wouldn't bother TBH. Money would be better spent maxing out your 300 with the brakes that you wouldn't get on the 270.
That said the torque will be better and noticable, and for me the GB270 to have is the wagon version.
Unless you are upgrading to an STi I'd stick with what you have.
Is there a reason why you want another WRX, is it for the wagon shape ?

The 05 Blob wrx's are very good cars, pete300 has a cracking example with some tasteful mods STi Brembos, 18" PWRC1's, Uprated Arb etc.
With the quicker steering rack, inverted strutts updated interior and in your case the snazy seats, they are really nice cars.
View my scooby for MY03 WRX mods to consider, and if you don't need a wagon go STi when funds allow
FWIW that is a very good price on the GB270, almost too good as on Proven they all seem to be £23k+ .
