Don't worry about air vent, I had no issues....
I brought a Jap style Type S or something like it brand? holder and glued in to the required size.

i cant c why you would want it on show, its pointless !its for one thing only and that is to adjust the fc, if its set up you should not need to touch it.either hide it away an forget about it or just unplug it.just seems silly why you would want to advertise you got expensive kit in your car unnesaserly day or night

Sorry it also allows to monitor the engine sensors...... quite useful for those that are testing etc.

Have to agree with Essexboy30.
The commander is basically useless for remapping the ECU as it only shows sections of the map, making it very awkward to do so, but damn handy when used as a monitor, when I rebuilt my 2.5 engine, I used the commander to monitor knock, revs, boost and water temp, along with other gauges showing oil temp, oil preesure and boost.
Admittedly, the commander is a little cumbersome and hard to make it look tidy but IMO, it's a worth while addition.
When you get out of the car, it can easily be hidden
