to the people who have these already. are they any good honestly because i went to Torque Developments International ; Tuning / Performance Specialists / Upgrades / Power / Dyno in thurrock. and they said they wouldnt touch it with a barge pole (crap) . is this true ? i was thinking to but these aswell ..........

They don't touch them because they don't know a thing about Apexi's, When I fitted one to my old Scoob, they said they didn't have the gear to map Apexi's.
No, they're not crap, maybe a little basic compared to some aftermarket ECU's but are a good ECU.

Both mine and Essexboy30's sucsessfully use Apexi ECU's, however they are not as sophisticated as the std ECU.
Mine was changed as the engine spec exceeds what the std ECU could deal with.

Also the idle control is not a precise.
Bottom line, if your cars ECU can be mapped, then that is the route to go.
However if you ECU cannot be mapped or your mod's exceed what the ECU can deal with then, then the Apexi is a perfectly aceptable way to go.
