Default Where can I get a Turbo Blanket

I no longer have a heat shield around my turbo, and I want to reduce heat soak. Where can I get a 'turbo blanket' to do this?

Thanks for all advice

Glad this post was made, as I was going to post exactly the same as I too had to remove my heat sheild to fit my new down pipe the other day.

Can anyone recommend a place to buy a turbo jacket? and roughly how much they are? oh, and whilst we're on the subject, are they easy to fit? i.e- can they be fitted without removing anything?

I got mine off ebay but Demon Tweeks sell them. Easy to fit, you get and inner and an outer heat proof piece. You make small cuts every inch or so and then thread the stainless cable tie thing through the holes. Place it around the turbo and pull the ends of the cable which pulls it all tight around the turbo.....job done

Had a look on DT and can't see owt. A cheaper option may be a piece of the inner heat mat which is the same as the stuff you wrap your manifolds with, the out cover is the same type of stuff but with a silver coating. I think mine was about 10 inch by about 2 foot with holes every inch, then you will need some stainless ties (2 joined together will do)

Stainless Steel High Temperature Ties, Exhaust wrap, 10 on eBay, also Exhaust Components, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 05-Jan-08 20:00:00 GMT)
