ESC Mountain biking - Part VIII - Sun 30th March
Back to Thorndon Park for the not-so-hardcore amongst us! 
Forecast is for sunshine with the possibility of a light shower - I will keep an eye on this and see how it develops tomorrow. 
(Needs to be an early one as I have a lot to do on Sunday - sorry)

ok......so if people don't want to go to the Stortford meet they can do this instead.
I'm not going to the Stortford meet, so I'm going to do this instead, if no one else wants to join us then it will just be me and Lady Fozz

Sheepdog Commands
"Away" / "Away to Me"
Move around (circle) the sheep in an anti-clockwise direction
"Come-Bye"
Move around (circle) the sheep in a clockwise direction
"Lie Down"
Stop, lie down, slow down or just stand still - but often used to slow the dog down. Intelligent things Border Collies - good ones can usually tell which the handler means by the tone of voice
"Stand"
Stand still - the dog must stop but remain on its feet - often used just to slow the dog's speed or get the dog to allow the sheep to go further ahead of it
"That'll do"
The dog must stop what it's doing and return directly to the handler
"Walk Up" / "Walk On"
Move straight towards the sheep in a calm fashion without spooking them (useful for Classics as they scare easily)
Mark
