just wondering as one of the criticisms (for want of a better word at this time of the morning) was the sound of your car, it is very quiet and I think that you admitted that this was one are you were going to change....

I wonder how many stories we are going to hear over the coming months on what Prodrive are going to produce
I remember sitting with IM's MD and Marketing Director discusing the the lastest "special" which was wildly rumoured to having at least 340bhp and it turned out to be 320 with improved suspension
Ponies are not the only thing that Prodrive do after all
This rumour of 100BHP seems to have been leaked to all dealers

thats a load of bollox (scoobyblog feature) because Prodrive will be only able to safely up the power to 325ps (330ps max) due to the limitations of the non-forged pistons in the stock STI engine.
Around September time there is a model that will be around £30k with push button start, tinted windows, 18" wheels, recaros and some other bits.
Subaru UK are currently weighing up the options of a 400bhp version that will have the mechanical upgrades to cater for this but @ a cost of around £40k - a lot of money for a Subaru @ the end of the day and they'd have to sell 150 units minimum.
I wont divulge the source of this but I can say I was there when the 1hr + phone call was going on

When I was thrashing the new STI around castlecombe last week from inside all you really heard was the engine revving, from the side of the track and it passing me at over 130mph all I could hear was some air disruption & tyre noise.
Its extremely quiet
Nothing that an exhaust wouldn't sort.

I guess aftermarket exhausts aren't going to be cheap considering the 4 pipe config of the standard car
