Just got my passport renewal back rejected after 4 weeks because my witnesses signature was 5mm out of the box !!!!

Phil, take the application form into the post office, they will check it and confirm all ok before it is sent away, there is a small fee, but worth it to avoid the issues you have had - (which includes them posting it to.)

You can claim back from the post office as they should have picked up on that thats what they get paid for.

Did they take your money or have they returned that as well.

I am in the process of renewing the kids but because Jake is 16 they have a new procedure where he may have to have an interview to prove he is ENGLISH they would not let me do the checker at the post office. I was thinking everything must be alright as they have taken my money....But I may be wrong..

Picked up our application forms AGES ago - still haven't filled them out, let alone sent them off. Gooner's never had a passport - hope they don't want to interview him

I would think they would its for any New adult passport not on renewals thou just new applicants.

Its a joke and I dont think it will stop what they are thinking it will.

Wasn't there an article in the the daily mail a couple of weeks back basicaly saying how this "new method" for passport checking has managed to weedle out a stunning ZERO amount of fraudulant passports! How about that eh - talk about failed methods!
