Mocom Assistance / Help / Query / Favour
Hi there sorry to be a pain.
Last Wednesday I booked over the phone with a lady from Mocom for April 15th (tomorrow) and after she gave me the quote etc, I said that was fine and just to confirm everything she asked me to e-mail what I wanted doing (re-map + sportscat fitting) so they had my e-mail address and contact details.
I did this but didn't get a response (not that I expected one).
I popped across today as at 4.30am I had to dash from Cambridge to Eastbourne Hospital for work related reasons not any family issues etc, and on the way back decided I'd pop in (11.30am) and see if I could find where Mocom was for tomorrow as i've never been.
Found Mocom but its all closed up, I can't get through on either number as both are answer machines.
Basically I know a few people on here have they're direct numbers.
My favour is if someone can possibly ring or text and see if everything is still ok for me tomorrow to have my remap done or if issues have arised which means they won't be there or something?
Sorry to be a pain just I can't afford the day off work and 120 mile round trip to find they're not there because of some un-forseen issue has meant they unable to open.
My other reason for popping in was to see what time they wanted me to arrive tomorrow as i've no idea on that matter either when to get there? 8am? 9am?
I know they said on the phone they ask for deposits because people don't turn up, I didn't leave one because i'm so eager to get my car mapped they must have grasped I was a defo 100% shower but as it stands this very moment I can't chance it.
Kind Regards,
Andy.

If Zak has booked you in then it will not be a problem.
Leave a message on their phone, explain you are concerned, i'm sure they will put your mind at rest.
Don't worry that the unitis locked up, if they are mapping during the day, they have to lock up when they are out.

Ah ok well that helps put my mind a little to rest, thanks!
I'll leave a message and see what happens, which would be best to leave a message on office or workshop?

Mate if youre booked in, youre booked in.
Nothing will change that unless you have had a call from Zak to say otherwise.
Zak is seriously busy 24/7 buddy. Alot of the time he will be out mapping. He has a business to run and subsequently does not have time to sit at a desk answering every call or sitting on Scoobynet chatting and answering PMs.
If you need anything or have any concerns, leave a message on his answering machine (its not there just for fun) or drop an email to info@mocomracing.com.
If you had you car in there, wher would you want him to be?
Working with 110% attention on your car or hit & miss answering calls and diverting his attention?

Cool beans Ok then i'll head down i'm sure it'll be fine just i've no idea what time to get there for? 8am? 9am? etc.
I did e-mail last week and I did leave answer messages around 1.30pm today but I never got a response hence the concern.
I'm house moving in few days hence my concern and tightness of £50 fuel and a days holiday, if it's closed it would really cause me huge problems as it's my only opportunity to get my car sorted between work and house move.
I'll get there for 9am then I guess?

Should I get there for 10am then?
I was originally thinking 8am but though tad early. Maybe aim for 9.30am?
Not much more I can do, e-mailed and left messages? or best to boycott till I hear from them?
They might have unforseen circumstances which means they're not going to be there.

Nice to meet you Brad! top bloke.
Cheers to Mocom top people! and cheers for taking me out in the time trial car! makes me want more speed now
Everything went a-ok.
Car was running a WR1 map when it went in. Tweaked the map and it's got much more response now, and pulls hard to 7,000rpm+ and boosts to 1.5-6bar with odd spike to 1.7bar
More of a license loser now, will just have to behave myself had fun on the way home but i'd get flamed if I state speeds so i'll just classify it as 'quicker than I should have been going'.
