speak to mark b4 you'll be better with a smaller gap so there's less chance of it being blown out. it'll be stonger with a smaller gap also you've not taken the vta off have you?

to get it going you dip the clutch and rev it correct?

if you slip the clutch it'll help. basically the vta will cause the car to overfuel when you change gear and this is what gets ignited by the plug. you could try sticking a splash of octane booster to help it flame.

are you trying to get it from standstill or when moving? most classics won't flame at standstill.

have you changed anything else?

I used to get it to flame by driving along, dipping the clutch and blipping it around the 4k mark. after about the 3rd blip you start to flame up nicely.

something to do with the map. most newage versions don't flame at standstill either. tiny's does because of the remap.

I was going to say that make sure the heatsink isn't earthing out on the car as this will kill the circuit stone dead. (I know as I designed the ESC flamer and had some problems with a guy with a similar problem)

Does a flamer kit really need a dump v to work?

What about no DV at all? Could it be mapped with a power fc to work?

Haven't a clue on that one mate, I've fitted a flamer to a car with the standard recirc and it wouldn't flame, as soon as a VTA went on, it flamed
