On a similar subject (UK finances) i've spent most of this week doing change of vehicles from Subaru's to various turbo diesels. (BMW 320 D seems to be the most popular)

All the owners are blaming the need to change on fuel prices, road tax, and the fact they're trying to save money incase the recession does actually hit.

I noticed on Pistonheads yesterday there are over 1400 Impreza's for sale!!!

My mate has had his house on the market in Aylesbury for 7 months now with very little interest.

He's just had to knock another £5k off the price (£15k total ), even though the estate agent told him "This place will be gone in a week!" when it first went on the market.......yeah right!

Well I just bought a house. (First home for me and fiancee)

Offer was accepted Feb 7th, we move in on May 7th so 20 odd days to go now.

It's probably worth less than what i'm paying now Oh well.

Took a mortgage that tracks with the 'Bank of England' and the interest rates dropped the day we signed the mortgage by 0.25% and again last week by 0.25% so least thats something to smile about, extra £110 month.

My business I run is all medical lasers and fibres so no risk of ever having any knock on effect regardless of recession unless the NHS goes under as well as Private Health Care.

My problem will be if people stop becomming ill.

If anyone needs prostates doing i'll do group discount
