Default Seriously considering ......

Getting my Land Rover sorted.

Some of you my be aware, I have owned a 1962 Land Rover for around 10 years now, but have never got round to completing it, and with the hike on road tax etc, thinking of getting it on the road (FREE TAX, and does more mpg than the scoob), and let the little beauty do a lot of polluting. Road tax based on emissions get a pre 1973 vehicle and you pay no road tax

Would also like to take it green laning ...... I know Ross used to in his LR.

Also, I think I will get a sticker made something along the lines of :-

to the UK government ........ My road tax is free .

Nate my father in law gave me this but I had to decline bringing it back home as I had no room. It was a hoot to drive, steering was a work out in itself and it stopped eventually. They are a bit of a museum piece but there are loads of parts for them (so I am told) and everything is bolt on

Quite right, mine used to have a hard top (like your one in the pic, but without windows), I removed that and bolted on the truck cab instead, added a roll bar, A bar, a dozen spot lights and some bucket seats.

The art form to driving a series Land Rover is to steer left and right, left and right, left and right to go in a straight line, always correcting the steering , I have a Land Rover sitting at my yard as spares, along with another extra engine and gearbox ...... So much more economical for parts.
