Mike is heading home tomorrow, possible major issues with the engine.
Silverstone is only 2 weeks on as well.

Suspected bearing failure, hopefully stopped running early enough to prevent total engine loss. Will see once it's out next week.
Frayz about that offer to build the heads, engine as well?

suspected big end, but very unclear...
Current symptons are:
car ticks over fine. Very slight touch of the throttle and the car tries to die.. at this point when lifting off and it tries to recover there is a mechanical knock from the engine.
Oil pressure at tick over is 5bar but rises to normal 6bar at high revs.
Also appeared to run very rich.
No water in the header tank and took around 3 litres....
What can i say other than i@m truly gutted...
The morning SIDC track sessions was very wet, but i had the car drifting in most bends, with no fear at all which was good goven my off last year.
The car geometry and set up was awesome.... the Polybushes were great and the new quick rack was simply fantatsic.
What can i say i was feeling really good...
But after a round 10 to 15 min sessioni sudenly started getting det in 4th at around 7K rpm. Got Paul of Zen to drop the duty cycle on my Apexi AVCR.
Went out after letting it cool down and again was fine for a few good laps and then suddenly det....
I hope if it is bearings that it was caught quick enough not to have done too much damage!!!!
Qualifying today was 58.3 i belive and i did a 59 last year, so i think i really stood a good chance of qualifyuing this year...

TBH i really reached major low over all this... it's taken major commitment in both money, but probably more precious for me at the moment is time....
I had all sorts of reasons for doing this again this year and at the moment I've found no enjoyment do it....
Fingers crossed the failure isn't too major and I can look forward to the remaining rounds!!!!
