Default Something Nickbes and I have been working on

OK so this won't be everyones cup of tea and it's not finished yet. But over the course of this week in the evenings we've been adding some vinyl to my car.

slightly inspired by Zak's car i went for this:

Really like that, edge of the scoop and the vent need doing IMO, but apart from that looks wicked.

I think the black side of the car now needs to be all black and it needs carrying on down the bumper.

I cant say i like it as it is but it has potential to be something quite interesting.

cheers for the comments guys. the vent wil most likely go black and the edge of the scoop will. not sure whether to go for 22b style vents.

getting the black on the bumpers should be fun lol.

wiley, everyone's allowed their opinion mate.

first impression - NO

then looking a bit more I quite like it, not seen it before and liking your idea.

think the scoop & vent need to be blacked out to fully complete the lines.

i think it looks good, black and red always work anyway...deffo needs to be extended down the full line (front and back), of the car. I quite like the scoop and vent not being colour coded.

take a look at the latest Brabus (the bullit), has a matt finish thats all some clever vinal. I want to do my whole wagon in it.

yup. will have to go down over the bumpers. that should be fun lol.

Mark - are you about friday night for me to drop ££ round? Would also like a couple more bits if possible?

UK normal size, font etc rear number plate (reg is in pics that Nick posted up) car is in my name now so have the reg document to be able to get a plate made ,
Type Ra the same as the standard logo x 4 in black to go on my mudflaps,
2 door number boxes in white,
2 x mocom racing stickers to go at the top of the number boxes,
one circle number background in white for the bonnet about 18" in diameter,
1 x richard burns (picture) sticker,
2 x mcrae ones,
2 x M Neame in white for rear windows,
2 x www2clearbuckets.com in white with red drop shadow then "vehicle detailing and car care products" to go underneath will be to put on the sunstrips.
2 x gloss black circles 24" in diameter.

There'll probably be some more at some point

Cheers to Nick for popping round again last night to help out with the next part of the car. we set about a little weight reduction programme.

this is what came out (note that the rear seats had already been shifted out to the shed) and the resulting lack of creature comforts.

Then the front seats went back in along with some harnesses. the harnesses need to be changed for fia approved items, but these are ok for now.

Nick seemed to quite like them

Then we went for a little spin. It feels so much lighter than before. really does have a noticeable effect on the car. because the ra has so little sound deadening anyway, the exhaust note is not really any louder in the car. but what you do notice more are the stones flicking up against the underside.

so the next step will take place on saturday. short shift going in, alk going on ready for zak to sort the handling out, then the outside needs a good clean down, clay bar and polish before the rest of the graphics go on.

after that it'll be time to get rid of the left over vinyl in the boot and remove the seat again along with the lower part of the dash. any wires that can be tucked away will be and anything else tidied up. The inside will then get a nice coat of fresh red paint so that it looks a bit better.
