It's not looking good
Just taken the cam covers off and found the water pump pulley has sheared clean off
At the time when the engine died, I was doing 30, so could easily be looking at a completely funked engine (ie pistons crowns hitting the valve and bending them etc), so for the time being, might just get a water pump, use the old cam belt and try starting it, if I'm very very lucky, there's no internal damage, then I'll do a major service on it.

It's definately going now - one way or another!! Moley - Don't read - might torch it an claim the insurance!! Seriously, I'll either sell the car if it runs again, or strip it and sell the parts.
Anyone want a Chargespeed body kit with a 22B front bumper in Dark Blue Mica?

sorry to hear that Paul. I thought it was just the lemons that i had working on the car previously that caused the issues, but does seem like the car is jinxed.
Andy, my bank manager loved me having that car!!!! lol

No, it's really good news finally going to do something I really want to do for ages!!
When it finally happens, would anyone be interested in a retro restoration/tuning thread? May even get Mocom involved in setting the suspension up
I'm buzzing now, can't wait

Be sad to see it go Paul, but will be great to see the new project.
I'd be interested in the wheels. (Give ya £150 for 'em )

Getting really pi$$ed off now, feel like I'm being shafted left right and centre!!
Ordered a water pump from fleabay, and didn't turn up, 10 days later still nothing and the seller won't answer numerous emails, so went through Paypal resoultion, 3 days later, still no reply so I've escalated it to a claim!!
Bought another pump, and it's been a week so far, and guess what? they're not answering emails either!!! In 3 days time, it looks like another claim will be made!!!
I'm totally funked off now, did want to have the car MOT'd by now ready to sell!!!!!
