Default Sad thoughts

Sitting here today, i just started to cry!

Dont know what started it, but i looked up at a picture of my dear old dad and it all came flooding out.

Its been almost 2 years since we lost him, up to his usual tricks at mopsies park, playing bowls (and losing!)

He was a GREAT man, and will always be in my thoughts.

It just hurts so much knowing that he will never be at home when i come round anymore.........

Thanks mate, it all seems silly, a grown man of 36 crying......but i am only human.

I KNOW i have made him proud of me, i have achieved a lot in the last 18 months, and will be doing even more within the next year!

Just wish he was here to see what i have done......

he knows what you've done, dont worry. all part of lifes unfortunate cycle

why not get a bench or something for the bowling club in his memory!!! ??

or even sponsor a trophy or something, just as a token.

If anyone even goes into mopsies park in basildon, there is a bench on the right hand side of the green with a plaque on it in his memory, my sister done that for us and is always putting flowers by its side.

I know he can see what i have done, he is with me wherever i go, even at 140MPH!

And yes, i AM only 36, but looks can be deceiving.........i know i only look 24!

I still miss my Grandad and think about him almost everyday even though he passed away over 20 years ago.

It took 10 years before I could walk past his old house and then I burst into tears.....

I wish he could have seen my children so much..... He would have been so proud.

I know exactly how you feel mate, my brother died almost exactly a year ago. At his funeral, my mum wanted me to chose a song, so my choice was Oasis - Stop crying your heart out.

Oasis was his favourite band, and I still cry my eyes out when I listen to them. To be honest, I still haven't gotten over his death, and find it hard at times. To make it worse, the coroner couldn't find the cause of death, so t's been put down as natural causes, he was only 29 FFS

My Dad died 8 years ago, when I was 31, and although I have been through all the different emotions (love, loss, hate, anger, love, etc) I have come to realise we are all on the earth but for a short while, and everything happens for a reason.
I really resented my brother at the time my Dad died, because he had my Dad for 52 years, and I had him for only 31.
As time goes by, you do remember the good (and bad) times, and then appreciate the actual time you had with your beloved you have lost.
You then think about everyone else who is still here, sharing your life with you, and (in my belief) know there is a better life going forward.

I have a thing with music, it seems to trigger memories, both good and bad.

My best mate was killed in a car crash 16 years ago, he was only 17 and I was 16 at the time. Still think about him every day even after all this time, thinking about his cheeky smile always brings a smile to my face

Over time the hurting heals, and you will be able to smile when you think of your Dad.

I too lost my Mum the year before last and its still very raw, it always makes me cry when I think about her, just because I miss her so much. Whereas my Dad died 10 years ago, and when I think of him it always makes me smile.
