Default just bought some new bits....

For the scoob, i had left it standard for far to long so just bought a full de-cat system, HKS induction kit and looking at a set of springs.
i have a set of samco boost hoses to fit to!

How easy are the full systems to fit? never changed one on a scoob before!

Got cd player to fit into the car aswell!

Am being featured in fastcar mag and have my shoot on the 31st of jan so am under pressure to get it done asap!

No offense but I'd take the HKS induction kit straight back as it will just draw hot air in from the engine bay - as most members will tell you, you're far better off sticking with the original air box unless you're going for high power.
I had one of the Super Power Flow ones myself - they sound great but do nothing for performance really; hence I went back to a Green panel filter and the original air box.
That will leave you money to put towards a remap which you'll probably want to do realistically if you're swapping the whole exhaust system and going decat.

If you must have an induction kit, there are the variety that fit in the wing like the RCM one, or the K&N Apollo where the filter is encased in a heat resistant material - Revolution helped develop them I believe.

The exhaust is easy to do, just need 12mm,14mm and 17mm spanners

You know it!! The worse is undoing the turbo nuts for the decat!! On my old classic, I ended up having to use a dremel with a cutting disk to cut through the nuts and tapping them free from the studs.

Speaking of which, I got to do my exhaust, ready for the MOT

yup. and the one right underneather is a bugger. i always put the car up on ramps to get to it. cutting the bolts off is how i got my original catted dp off.

only takes about 20 mins when you get the hang of it though doesn't it

Is there a sensor in the exhaust at all?

It sounds fairly straight forward so we shouldnt have to many problems!

Quick question on the Apollo induction kit as I'm thinking of fitting one on my Hawkeye STI, I've heard the 57i kits are very noisy?

Does it make a lot more noise? It doesn't sound like some sort of naff dump valve does it?
