It could be that time!!
I've spent the last 2 months searching for a Mk2 Escort, I've almost given up on finding a half decent 1600 sport, Mexico or RS2000 but today found a nice little fixer upper on fleabay and the guy is interested in doing a swap for the scooby!!
The car I found is a White Mk2 RS2000 custom
, (Done a car check, and it's a genuine RS) we're currently discussing the deal and the bad thing is that I have no service info etc for the scoob so that could let me down, but it's worth a try!!
If this does come off, has anyone got a trailer I could borrow this weekend? The RS is in Dunstable. There's a tow ball fitted to my truck so a towing vehicle isn't a problem.

Try driving a pick up truck in the wet, you soon get loads of practice mate.
Got my eye on something completely different now

Where I work in Laindon, I drive through the hills (Past the crown pub), and it's a nightmare. It's bl00dy scary at times when the back goes and you're not expecting it!!
It's just as bad on Mildly Moist (as per top Gear
)/ wet junctions or roundabouts, you just sit there with the back wheels spinning and getting no where!!
With the snow forecast for next week, I'll be putting the truck in 4 wheel drive mode, just in case!
