So you wont have to
For a road car you cannot beat the Newage, the shell alone is over 200% stiffer than that of the classic but then this all adds to the weight - although the newage does a a very good job of disguising this.

I`m going thru the same thing, been offered a good amount for my classic but its a very good car, and I know id regret it, but with the prices of the newer stuff atm its very tempting.

mate atm you have one of the best classics made and to swap that for a car that has been beaten with every ugly stick from hear to Japan would be foolish

Ideally I would've run my Newage this year in Time Attack but it's worth too much to bin and a classic based car will give me a huge weight saving at very little cost
Let's take stock of last season...........my Newage STi ran the standard Subaru top mounted intercooler, uprated pads/front discs, Moton ClubSport coilover suspension and a MD321T turbo and did aswell as it did. That's gotta say something for Subaru's design team

Without counting I'd say none although my (true) daily driver managed a top 15 position with just 400bhp and full weight to carry (1000WRMS, dynamat, etc etc). Also playing on my mind constantly is the fact that I have to drive my newborn son and wife home from each event which is the primary reason for me opting to run a classic this year; maybe I can now fully commit to Paddock and Craner

4.23 am - guess the little un has had you up bright and early
Zak, i'm sure you realised that my tongue was firmly in cheek, the New v Old is a rather silly debate, the new age is clearly an improvement over the old in many area's, better built, more comfy, etc. But it is heavier, hence yours and all the top teams choice to run a classic.
Will you be running Mo?
